Hi! I'm Vanessa.

My students call me Miss Vanessa, and I've spent the last decade teaching dance to incredible kids. As the director of my studio, I noticed a disconnect between photography studios and what my dancers hoped to see in their dance pictures. Photographing dancers and dance classes takes a unique set of skills: knowing the timing to capture a leap in the exact moment it's at its highest, the ability to comfort a nervous toddler, and the expertise to get a class of 10 kindergarteners to look the same way and smile to catch the best possible group shot.

On Pointe Photography was created to bring a dancer's perspective to dance photography. Our mission is to capture the beauty and power of dance through artistic photography. I can't wait to work with you and capture magical moments for your dancer.
